Desiccant Dehumidifier

Our Products

Product Features

Our desiccant dehumidifier can achieve low humidity levels that cannot be achieved by refrigeration-based dehumidification systems, and create an appropriate humidity environment for each industrial sector.

In 1984, our company developed and commercialized the first activated silica-gel honeycomb rotor, the core part of a dehumidifier. This was the first of its type in the world. Unlike conventional refrigeration-based dehumidification systems, the desiccant dehumidifier can dehumidify air at or below 10°C by using desiccant. Our desiccant dehumidifier also uses a desiccant rotor called D-MAX®, which has been successfully developed through our research and development efforts. D-MAX® is a high-performance next-generation rotor that ensures increased safety.

By applying our know-how and experience as a desiccant rotor manufacturer, our company is developing and manufacturing the desiccant dehumidifier DRY-SAVE® to maximize performance. We will choose a suitable model for our customers, based on our extensive experience. We offer not only standard models, but also products that are customized to our clients’ environments.

Our desiccant dehumidifier is supported by a variety of customers in and outside Japan, and used in over 30 countries around the world for rust prevention, storage and desiccation in various fields, and for optimal humidity control in air conditioning.

Product Lineup

Compact standard model NEW-SGP Series

This series achieves energy efficiency, high power and high performance. This is the best choice for use with existing environmental testing equipment, and provides great dehumidification control, even in low temperatures at or below 10°C. The product can be used for applications down to around 15% relative humidity. It’s simple and compact design allows for easy operation and maintenance.

Shipyard dehumidifier MARINE-SAVE

This is an ideal dehumidifier which achieves energy efficiency, stability and cost efficiency, incorporating the features of both desiccant dehumidification and refrigeration dehumidification.

The dehumidifier can be used throughout the year, regardless of season or weather. It helps meet the International Maritime Organization’s Performance Standard for Protective Coatings (PSPC) in rainy weather and winter, and enhances the ship’s coating quality.

Special design models SSP & SZP Series

These models are used by many customers for ultra low humidity air conditioning, precise control air conditioning and humidity control. These are customized models which meet every requirement, regardless of the humidity condition. The product can be installed outdoors. Various heat sources, such as factory steam, hot water, waste heat and gas, can be utilized for reactivation. The product is available with a cooling system, or as a high airflow model. For information about this special design model, please contact our sales team.

High-performance outdoor air processing unit

This is a high-performance outdoor air processing unit which achieves energy efficiency and stability. This is the best choice for use at a food processing factory for ventilation, since this unit maintains low temperature and low humidity. The unit is capable of stably delivering air with a dew point of 7°C even in midsummer when the temperature and humidity are high. Options such as an energy-saving heat wheel and precise temperature and humidity control are available.

Cogeneration waste-heat driven desiccant air-conditioning system E-SAVE

This system is designed to provide air conditioning by removing humidity from the air using desiccant (moisture adsorbent). The system considerably improves indoor air quality (IAQ) by exchanging fresh outdoor air and dirty indoor air efficiently. This is an environmentally-friendly system, which uses waste heat from a generation facility (cogeneration waste heat, gas, hot water and steam, etc.) for the heat source of the desiccant air-conditioning system which efficiently uses energy. Its carbon dioxide emission is reduced significantly since the system does not use CFCs and other refrigerants.

Applications

Maintenance

We recommend that periodic maintenance is performed to uphold stable performance and prevent problems from occurring. We also make proposals for the schedules of replacement and recovery, as needed.

Maintenance

Rotor replacement service

Replacement of rotors

We offer separate-type rotors for places where delivery is difficult. We are happy to replace products from other manufacturers*. Please feel free to contact us.
* To replace products from other manufacturers, we need to conduct an on-site survey.

Rotor sampling and deterioration investigation

We obtain a sample by gouging out part of a rotor component. We then, examine the cause of deterioration in performance, and check moisture adsorption.

Measurement of temperature, humidity and airflow

Temperature and humidity of the air to be dehumidified are monitored, and the inlet and outlet of the dehumidifier are monitored to assess dehumidification performance. We can decide whether to calibrate the installed thermometer and hygrometer. Airflow at the air-conditioning outlet and inside the duct is measured to ensure the airflow is maintained as designed.
