“I want to contribute to society by producing unique products using my own ideas and skills,” said Toshimi Kuma, the founder of our company. To fulfill his hope, he founded a private laboratory. In 1965, he established Seibu Giken Technology Research Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Seibu Giken Co., Ltd. After establishing honeycomb manufacturing technology in the 1970s, our company released the hygroscopic aluminum sheet enthalpy wheel, HI-PANEX, and the activated silica-gel honeycomb adsorption desiccant rotor, SSCR, in the 1980s, to meet social demands for energy conservation. Our reliable products, high performance and passion for environmental conservation were highly acclaimed in Europe, where people were becoming more environmentally conscious, and other parts of the world. Our company strengthened connections beyond business, and established a global quadrilateral system, with subsidiary companies in Sweden (Seibu Giken DST AB), the United States (Seibu Giken America, Inc.), and China (Seibu Giken (Changshu) Co., Ltd.). In close collaboration with our subsidiaries, we have established our sales network in approximately 50 countries, including European states, the United States, and Asian nations.
